The Cluster Christmas Craft Fair

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

Price: FREE

WHAT

The Cluster Christmas Craft Fair will be a festive explosion of local makers, crafters, bakers and creators. Expect gifts people actually want, Christmas crafts & decorations, foodie treats to take home, and cosy textiles & accessories (none of that mass-produced tat). Plus, you’ll get that warm fuzzy glow of knowing you’ve supported a local indie while smugly handing over a gift that isn’t from Amazon. (Yes Karen, it really is handmade, no it didn’t come in a Prime box).

WHO

Everyone’s invited – families, friends, craft lovers, foodies, and even that mate who swears they “hate Christmas” (we’ll sort them out).

Jason Brown

Jason Brown is a children’s author and illustrator based in Oxfordshire. Inspired by a lifelong love of science fiction, fantasy, and cryptozoology, he wrote and illustrated Carl Loft and the Oover Monster.

Originally launched through a successful Kickstarter campaign, the project grew from a planned digital paperback into a beautifully litho-printed hardback, with a revised second edition now available in independent bookshops across Oxfordshire.

Beyond his books, Jason creates a range of themed merchandise – from monster bookmarks and greetings cards to posters, fridge magnets, and art prints – which he sells at local arts and crafts markets. He also regularly visits schools and community spaces, combining book readings with creative arts sessions where children (and often parents too) get to bring their own monsters to life.

Luce.eps

Luciana is an artist based in Oxford! She graduated from De Montfort University in 2015 with a degree in Textiles, but after uni, she felt so burnt out that she didn’t pick up a paintbrush or crochet hook again until 2020.

She is grateful for the diverse skills she has because sometimes she finds that her creative expression doesn’t always flow through painting or crocheting, but through sewing or even knitting. Her biggest inspiration to date has been her toy poodle, Maliya, who often features in her art as a way to express her feelings.

Last year, Luciana took a leap of faith and quit her job to sell at markets full-time. It hasn’t been easy, but she’s incredibly grateful for the journey. She’s met so many lovely customers and made wonderful friends who have been instrumental in supporting her business.

Pottery Garden

After Phillip’s dad, Brian, passed away early this year, he took over his dad’s pottery hobby and moved it to his shed.

Memories of the time Phillip spent over many years making pottery together with his dad and all the skills he shared with him over the years came out and the joy of taking a piece off clay and creating a unique item, became addictive.

Every time Phillips makes a new item he feels a connection to his dad and also to his grandparents who also worked in the potteries of Stoke-on-Trent.

Lorraine Berkshire-Roe

Lorraine Berkshire-Roe is an Oxford-based illustrator and ceramic artist who works mainly in pen and ink, creating playful, characterful pieces that bring a bit of joy to the everyday. After years of developing her style through sketchbooks and creative challenges like Inktober, she returned to self-employment in 2024 and now produces prints, cards, and hand-crafted ceramics, all with her signature touch of humour and warmth.

She’s spent the past decade juggling creative projects with teaching, most recently running after-school art clubs and workshops for kids. These days you’ll find her at markets around Oxford, sharing her latest work, taking commissions, and building a practice rooted in community and curiosity.
